Merry Christmas

It looks like it is going to be another wet day again today.  It cleared for a bit yesterday and was quite windy so I managed to get some washing dried.  It is a case of grabbing the chance to get it out when you can - even if it means bringing it in and out several times!  On the plus side, I'm managing a fair bit of crafting time which is good as I have some DT projects to attend to before the end of the month.

I would like to enter:

Beccy's Place - Month of Holiday Cards
https://beccysplace.blogspot.com/2022/11/a-month-of-holiday-cards-challenge.html

I have used a digital paper from my Awaiting Crafting box (it didn't have the source written on the back so unknown source for now).  The image is from Conie Fong and the sentiment is from Folded Paper and Printed Pixels.  Coloring is with copic markers, Wink of Stella and Kindy Glitz.  I also added some Glossy Accents to the letters on the string.  I dotted around a few tiny gold and white pearls.

I followed the sketch at Cheerful Sketches:

Merry Christmas

The digital paper and sentiment are out of my Awaiting Crafting boxes.  I decided that I hadn't used much out of it for a week or so, and that it was time that I made another attempt to lessen the pile!

Fa-la-la-la

I've just come back from the dentist and I'm feeling all numb around the mouth.  So, I've sat down at the laptop to write up some posts and plan some DT cards while the numbness wears off!   I wish the bill would wear off at the same speed! LOL.

This one is for my neighbour who does alot through the year to help not only me but other neighbours as well.

Love You To Death

It is time to submit my card for the latest Musically Challenged Challenge.  I nearly missed out on doing this one as my mojo had seemed to have packed up and gone on vacation!!  However, it decided to come back today - just in time too!

I am entering this card into the following challenges:
Musically Challenged - Love You To Death
http://musicallychallengedchallenge.blogspot.gr/2013/10/love-you-to-death-challenge-12.html

I used an image from Beccy's Place stippled with Distress Ink - Pine Needles to represent the forest she is walking through near the beginning of the video.  As soon as I saw this girl in the video, I thought of this image from Folded Paper and Printed Pixels.   I have wanted to use this image for a while but never found the right card for it!   I coloured her with copic markers E00, 100, C7, E35, E31, R22, YR02.   I printed the title of the song using a font on my computer and then stippled with Distress Ink - Barn Door before cutting the words out separately.

Mixed Media Canvas

I had a heap of fun playing with this canvas:

I am entering this canvas into the following challenges:

Outlawz Thursday Challenge - Mixed Media
http://outlawzchallenges.ning.com/group/prismaandothermediums/forum/topics/twisted-thursdays-challenge-aug-15-21-mixed-media

I started with a blank canvas and painted it with acrylic paint.  While still wet I placed a serviette over the top.  As it has dried the dog has picked up some of the background colour!  I have added various bits and pieces almost in a smash book style.  The scrunched up sentiment by Folded Paper and Printed Pixels has been inked with Distress Ink.  I applied some black Memento ink around the edges of the canvas.  There is a strip of washi tape there, some Stickles - Candy Cane, Glossy Accents, glitter, Bakers Twine.  I also added a die-cut snowflake cut from glossy cardstock from DCWV using a Spellbinders Die.  I then applied some metallic rub-ons over the top and a glitter dome to the centre.

Fa la la la la

The challenge at Brown Sugar Challenge Blog is all about the sentiment:
http://brownsugarchallenge.blogspot.co.nz/2012/11/challenge-18-clean-simple.html
The card that I have created has a musical theme:

The background paper comes from a paper pack by Rosies Studio.  The sentiment is from Folded Paper and Printed Pixels.  I have also used a Memory Box die of a musical clef.  This has been die-cut from the same glitter cardstock that is used to matt the sentiment.  I have also added some pearls to the card.

A shaped card

The current challenge at Bearly Mine Designs is to produce a shaped card:
http://bearlymine-challenges.blogspot.co.uk/2012/07/challenge-45-shaped-cards.html

This is the shape that I chose to work with:

The shaped card has been die-cut using a Spellbinders die.  The paper is one from Bearly Mine Designs.  The image is a recent  freebie from Folded Paper and Printed Pixels which I have coloured using copic markers.
