The optional twist at CHNC this week is "Something Beginning with R".  I have red, reindeer and Rudolph.

I have used a paper from a paper pad.  The image is from Miss Rach and the sentiment is a pre-printed vellum.  I also added a vellum reindeer, some red grosgrain ribbon and some red pearls.

I don't seem to have enough hours in the day at the moment.  I found a bit of time to craft yesterday but not as much as I would like!  It is good relaxation from everything else that is going on at the moment.

I have used a paper, border and two tags from a paper pad by Kaisercraft.  The image is from Miss Rach and is coloured with copic markers.  I added some tiny pearls to the tags and some larger pearls to the card itself.  I also added some flower shaped buttons to add to the garden feel.

I have used a paper, border and sentiment tag from a paper pad by Kaisercraft.  The image is from Miss Rach and is coloured with copic markers.  I added pearls in the form of Nuvo Drops to the dolphin eyes, water bubbles, hole in the tag and also three under the image.

Trick or Treat

I had fun with this one - decided instead of doing an obvious 3 of something (like embellishments) that I would use three different digital papers!

I have used three digital papers from Lozzy.  The image is from Miss Rach and just has a bit of colour added to the eyes.  The digital sentiment is from Bird's Cards.  I also added two glittery ghost embellishments as well as a sentiment all from Little Birdie.  I inked the edges of the digital image and digital sentiment using a black Distress Ink pad.  I also added some Peelcraft border stickers over the joins between the digital papers.

Sandy Starfish Santa

Well the starfish is wearing a Santa hat - and it was the only S word I could think of to continue the alliteration!

Actually the theme of the challenge at Miss Rach is very appropriate for me as I celebration Christmas in the summer months here in New Zealand!

I have used a paper from a Christmas paper pad by Rosie's Studio.  I added some gold glitter mesh ribbon and some gold glitter ribbon across the card.  The image is from Miss Rach and is coloured with copic markers.  I'm actually pleased with the colour combination - but forgot to write down which ones I used.  I added some Stickles to the hat trims.  I also added three gold brads to the card.

This beachy husky was perfect for a Thank You card for one of my helpers.  I teach/coach swimmers and I have a couple of older swimmers who come in and help on a regular basis.

I have used a paper from a paper pad by Kaisercraft called "Sandy Toes".  The image is from Miss Rach and has been coloured with copic markers. I added some Glossy Accents to the "donut".  I think the sentiment may be from Desert Diva (I haven't got my files handy at the moment).  I die-cut with Spellbinder dies and added some blue rhinestones (as water droplets).

I have used an orange polka dot paper for the background.   I added some orange ribbon that I got free with a craft magazine a while back.  The images are both from Miss Rach and have been coloured with copic markers.  I used a Spellbinders die to cut the image.

I have used some brown kraft card for this card.  The image is from Miss Rach and I added some colour to the eyes using copic marker YG06 and then matted with some black cardstock.  I added some black ric-rac across the card and the dome sticker on top.

With Sympathy

Sympathy cards are never easy to create.  This one is harder than most.  It is for the family of a boy that my son swam against who was tragically killed in a motor vehicle accident.

With a carefully placed ribbon and sentiment I was able to combine a Halloween and pirate sentiment!

I have used a black white and gold paper from Rosie's Studio.  The image is from Miss Rach and has been coloured with copic markers 100 and Y28.  I left the bag white.  I added some pirate themed ribbon that my daughter bought me for my birthday last year and I hadn't as yet managed to use.  I also added some black pearls from Rosie's Studio and a black brad.

I thought of the saying "You look a bit green around the gills" and then thought of this sentiment as being a perfect match for the image!

I have used an autumn leaves patterned paper by MultiCraft for the background.  The image is from Miss Rach and has been coloured with copic markers.  I added a sentiment from Create with TLC.  I die-cut some leaves using a Memory Box die and some left over pieces of paper that were sitting in my offcuts box.  The matting is some brown coloured paper that I bought many years ago and hadn't used (part of a big box of papers that I bought on clearance too many years ago than I care to remember!!!).

Purely by accident I discovered a couple of new challenges.  One of the themes was perfect for a pad of paper I have that hasn't been used much.  So....... I just had to join in!
