Summer Time!

The Challenge for October at Path of Positivity is Celebrate Your Favourite Season.  There are things that I like about both Autumn and Summer and I couldn't decide which was my favourite.  After showcasing Autumn for the start of the challenge, I have moved on to Summer for the Midway Inspiration.

I have used a digital paper.  The images are from Doodle Dragon Studio, Sami Stamps and Neat and Tangled (from top to borrom) and the sentiment is from Trimgym.  Colouring is with copic markers.

Fa-la-la-la

I've just come back from the dentist and I'm feeling all numb around the mouth.  So, I've sat down at the laptop to write up some posts and plan some DT cards while the numbness wears off!   I wish the bill would wear off at the same speed! LOL.

This one is for my neighbour who does alot through the year to help not only me but other neighbours as well.

I would like to enter:

I have used a paper from a christmas paper pad by Kaisercraft.  The image is from Neat and Tangled and is coloured with copic markers. The Fa-la-la-la sentiment is from Folded Paper and Printed Pixels.  The name sentiment is one that I typed on the laptop in a similar font to that of the other sentiment.  I also added some organza ribbon, a button and some christmas washi tape from Sugar and Spice Studio.

Hot Hot Hot

The sun is finally out today - after about a week of wet weather.  I actually started this card while the weather was still miserable - to cheer myself up.  Maybe the weather took heed!

I would like to enter my card into these challenges:
Little Tangles - Embossing
http://littletangles.blogspot.co.nz/2016/06/challenge-69-embossing.html
Star in my Pocket - Here comes Summer
http://starstampz.blogspot.co.nz/2016/06/here-comes-summer-challenge.html

I embossed some pale yellow cardstock with an embossing folder called "Heavy Duty".  It reminded me of the tread on the bottom of jandals (I think they are called Flip Flops in other countries).  The sentiment is a digital sentiment from Digital Doodling.  I added some colour to both the image and sentiment using copic markers.  I also used some Distress Ink to ink the inner of the sentiment diecut and the outer of the image diecut.  I used some ribbon from a grab bag of ribbons that I purchased a few months back as well as two enamel dots from We R Memory Keepers.

I used a stencil of water drops for the background.  I was thinking spray from a wave!  The image is from Neat and Tangled and is repeated and then punched into circle shapes.  I used a sentiment with Hot repeated to match the trio of images.  The piece behind the images is textured cardstock.

Little Tangles - Colour Challenge
http://littletangles.blogspot.co.nz/2013/09/challenge-21-color-challenge.html

I have used an image from Neat and Tangled coloured with copic markers.  Matting is pink cardstock.  The buttons are cut from glitter cardstock - DCWV - with a die (I think it is a Nellie Snellen one but not sure).

Clean & Simple Lines

I love making Clean and Simple cards:

This CAS card is for the challenge at:
Little Tangles Challenge:
http://littletangles.blogspot.co.nz/2013/01/challenge-4-clean-simple.html

I have used cardstock from a DCWV matstack called The Performance Cardstock Matstack.  It is a mixture of non-patterned glitter, textured and glossy cardstock. This time I have used two of the textured cardstocks - one ochre coloured and the other a brown.

The sentiment is from Neat and Tangled.

Red White & Aqua

The current challenge at Little Tangles Challenge Blog can be found here:
http://littletangles.blogspot.co.nz/2012/12/challenge-3-color-challenge.html

This time it is a colour challenge and this is what I have come up with using the three colours:

I have used some backing paper from a recent paper pack purchase from MME.  The papers are double sided so it is often difficult to decide which side to use!  This one worked perfectly with the theme - at least it did when I coloured all the yellow dots with red copic!  The sentiment is from Neat and Tangled and has been matted onto some red cardstock.

I have kept the card CAS so the sentiment can take all the focus.

Happy Holidays

Happy Holidays is the theme for the second challenge at Little Tangles Challenge Blog:
http://littletangles.blogspot.co.nz/2012/12/challenge-2-happy-holidays_6.html

I decided that I would use the image from last month and give it a Christmas twist:

I have used a CAS style for this card.  The matting is all burgundy cardstock.  The background paper is from a christmas paper pack.  The image is from Neat and Tangled.

Hello

This week I found a new challenge.  This is their first challenge and appropriately the theme is Say Hello:
http://littletangles.blogspot.co.nz/2012/11/challenge-1-say-hello.html

I seem to have more people I know overseas and sometimes you just want to send a card that says Hello.  I thought it would be nice to send a card with a bit of a New Zealand theme to it:

The background paper is from a pack of New Zealand themed papers by Rosies Studio.   The matting paper is from Trimgym.  The image and sentiment are both from Neat and Tangled.

I have also added some glitter tape from American Crafts and some pearls and rhinestones.
