Happy Spring!

I have a mixture of light pink and a deeper pink on this card.  I think they work well together.

Spring

I have managed to use up two more digital papers from one of my Awaiting Crafting boxes.   That is the beauty of sketches - they enable me to use up some smaller pieces of paper.

I have used two digital paper offcuts (sources unknown).  The image is from The Paper Shelter.  Colouring is with copic markers.  Matting is blue cardstock.  I added some faux stitching using a pigment liner.

I followed the sketch at Cheerful Sketches.

Aloha

I have to say, Heather has out-done herself this month with this absolutely beautiful image.  I just love it and know that I will be using it again.

The two background papers that I have used come from Publikado.  I have covered the join between the two papers with yellow grosgrain ribbon and then over that I have placed a strip of orange mesh ribbon.  The image that I have used is from Heather Valentin and is called Kalani.  I have coloured Kalani with copic markers YR07, YR04, Y06, E11, E00 and added some Stickles -Yellow to the flower centres.  The "aloha" sentiment comes from Back To Paper and die-cut using a Spellbinders pennant die.  The flowers are die-cuts from Marianne's Designs which I have embellished with rhinestones.  The orange ones were the same colour as the rest and I went over them with YR07!

The rainbow after the April Showers

Alot of challenges have a theme of April showers at the moment..... I decided to take that a bit further and depict the rainbow after the showers!

The card is for the following challenges:
QKR Stampede - April Showers
http://qkrstampede.blogspot.co.nz/2013/04/challenge-33-april-showers.html
CDAC Progressive Challenge - Freebie #2
http://priscillastyles.ning.com/group/cdac-progressive-freebie-challenges#?=

The image that I have used for this card is the freebie for the CDAC Progressive Challenge.  This one comes from Back to Paper.  The image came with some sentiments - I chose to place a couple of them inside the clouds to create a greetings card.  I then coloured some ribbon roses with the colours of the rainbow and grouped them together.  They looked a bit lost in the corner so I added some green swirls with a copic marker.
