Creative Bug on the Loose - Challenge #6--Goose Bumps

This month we have a Halloween theme with a twist.  For this challenge we want to see a Hallowe'en project with texture of some sort on it. You can achieve this through embossing or adding material or adding embellishments with texture, or some other manner. However you do it, there must be texture that we could actually feel if we had your project in front of us. If we can't visibly see texture in your project, your creation won't qualify for the prize.

I've used embossing as my main texture:

To see what the other DT members have created and to check out the full details of the challenge, please head on over to Creative Bug on the Loose.

I have used a paper from Décosse's Dynamite Doodles as the background.  I embossed some orange cardstock using an M-Bossibilities folder.  The image is from Creative Bug Digitals and is called Sabrina Candy Throwing Witch.  I have used copic markers for colouring.  The sentiment is from Décosse's Dynamite Doodles and I have added Glossy Accents to they eyes.  I also added three pearls coloured with copic marker V17.

Pumpkin Time

Pumpkins are a symbol of Halloween yet in this country they are not as bountiful as in the Northern Hemisphere at this time of the year.

I have used a digital paper from Create with TLC for the background.  The image is from QKR Stampede.  I coloured in autumn colours using copic markers R59, R46, YR07, YR04, G21, YR23.  I die-cut using a Spellbinder Beaded Oval die and then added Gelato through the beaded openings.  I also added an orange bow using satin ribbon from Semco and three gold brads.

Changing Seasons

While the other side of the world is heading into Autumn and winter, we here in New Zealand are heading into Spring and Summer.  It almost feels like Autumn weather here at the moment though - minus the glorious colours of Autumn.

I've kept this card to a mixture of cool grey and warm grey with the addition of skin tone only.

October Christmas Card Challenge

October already!  I hope you have your Christmas cards well under way.  If you need some inspiration to get you started, come and have a look at the challenge at CHNC Extra for October.  There is lots of lovely inspiration from my fellow DT members there.  Here is my one:

I have used a paper from MME for the background.  The image is Ruby Christmas - Poinsettia from Bugaboo Stamps.  I coloured her with copic markers and then die-cut using an oval die.  The matting is red cardstock from Rosie's Studio.  I die-cut a poinsettia using a Mariannes Die and glittered cardstock from DCWV and then embellished it with some pearls which I coloured with a yellow copic marker.  I added some Christmas red mesh ribbon and some washi tape which I coloured red with Distress Ink (it was grey!).

Textured Baubles

I was inspired to work with a silver and gold combination for this image and then as luck would have it I acquired a paper pad in those colours!

I have used a paper from a paper pad by Bo Bunny called "Silver and Gold Collection"/  The layering is some gold metallic paper.  The image is from A Creative Need and has been coloured with copic markers and then glittered with Stickles - Gold and Silver.  I also added some gold and silver ornament shaped embellishments.

Someone Amazing

I just had to put this image and quote together - the smug look on the cat's face seems to suit this quote!

I have used a paper from a paper pad (I think it is Rosie's Studio but can't be totally sure).  The image and quote are from Create with TLC.  The image is from the progressive challenge linked above.   I coloured the image with copic markers and then edged around both the image and sentiment with Gelato.  I also used some green mesh ribbon and some pearls that I coloured with copic marker YR07.

Sparkling Christmas Boot

I have made the dies the focus of this card so kept it CAS:

The background paper is from Kaisercraft.  I liked that it had a subtle pattern so as not to overpower the dies.  I have used two dies from Tattered Lace 319 - Kensington and 113 - Christmas Boot.  I cut the Kensington die from black cardstock from Rosie's Studio.  The Christmas Boot die has been cut from Jac Paper and then glittered with fine green glitter.  I have added three bright green metal brads to finish.
