Have a Heart

The theme at the current challenge at Scribbles Designs is Have A Heart.  So, we want to see creations with a heart or more than one heart on them.

I have used an image called Heart Doodle 4.

I have also used some heart themed paper which I layered with red cardstock.  The image has been coloured with copic markers and embellished with some pearls.

Path of Positivity Challenge - Desire

The theme for the month of January at The Path Of Positivity is Desire.  I decided to used a bright cheerful colour combination for this one - partly because the weather is warm and summery hear at the moment.  I found a lovely desire quote to go with my creation:

The sponsors for this month are Scribbles Designs and Ike's Art.

For my inspiration project for the month start, I have used an image from Scribbles Designs called "Always Kiss Me Goodnight"

I sprayed the background with two colours of Dylusions Ink.  The image has been coloured with copic markers but I left the border around the main lettering white to make it pop.  I added a layered flower and pearl as well as a layered sentiment and a puffy heart.   The sentiment is from Décosse's Dynamite Doodles.

Love is in the Air

It is the start of February and time for a new challenge at Incy Wincy Designs.  For this challenge, we have the very appropriate theme for February of "Love is in the Air".  For this challenge, we have two sponsors - Limited Runs and Polka Doodles:

Here is my first card, using a Limited Runs image called Owls Family Love.

I used a paper from a paper pad by Kaisercraft.  The image was die-cut with a Spellbinders die and coloured with copic markers.  I added two hearts die-cut from glitter cardstock by American Crafts using Memory Box dies.  I also added some red ribbon roses and some pearls.

For my second card, I used an image from Polka Doodles called "True Love"

I used a paper from a romantic hearts paper pad.  The image has been coloured with copic markers and then die-cut with an oval die from Spellbinders.  I matted the image with some pink pearlised paper using a Marianne's oval die.  I also added some red pearls, some red and white lace  and a puffy heart.

Summertime Santa

Time for some fresh christmas inspiration for the challenge over at CHNC Extra for February.

Christmas in New Zealand is in the middle of summer.  At the moment every day seems to be hot and humid so I was inspired to create a christmas card with a summery image.

This lovely summery image comes from Bugaboo Stamps and is called Tropical Santa - Surfboard.  I coloured him with copic markers.  The background paper is from Sugar and Spice Studio - I have a couple of their christmas paper pads and they are all in bright summery colours.  I also used a white doily sprayed with Dylusions Ink, some glitter ribbon and a poinsettia flower cut from cardstock using a Memory Box die.  I added a pearl to the centre of the poinsettia.

My baby is moving out

My youngest child is moving out this weekend - he has grown up so fast.  He is off to University in another city so I'm helping him move.  I'm going to be off the internet till next Wednesday (unless I can get to a library that has internet) so the blog may well go quiet!

Golden Butterfly Girl

This card actually looks better in real life than it does in the photograph for some reason.
