8th Birthday Celebrations at Scribbles Designs

This January is 8 years since the start of the challenge at Scribbles Designs - I have been on the Design Team for seven of those years.  To celebrate the 8 years, we have a bit of a different challenge for you.  We would like you to use 8 items in your creation and let us know what they are.

Here is my creation for the start of the challenge:

My 8 items are:

1. Card Base

2. Patterned Paper called Flower 7 Patterned Paper from Scribble Doodle Designs 

3.  Satin Ribbon

4. Brad in bow

5. Glitter alongside ribbon

6. Green cardstock for matting image

7. Frame image from Scribbles Designs

8. Hedgie with Flowers image from Scribbles Designs

I printed the frame and image separately and one coloured I cut the hedgie image to fit inside the frame (possibly would have been easier to cut the centre of the frame out and then centre the frame over the hedgie image but I didn't think of that at the time).  I edged the hedgie image in green to match the green that I had used on the inner of the frame.

Happy Valentines Day

I had coloured up this image some time ago and then hadn't done anything with it.  I was going through my Awaiting Crafting digital paper box and realised that I had a couple of papers in there that were also from WeAre3 Digital Shop that were a good match.

I have used a couple of digital papers from WeAre3 Digital Shop.  The image is also from WeAre3 Digital Shop and the sentiment is from My Sugar Paper.  Colouring is with copic markers.  I also added a heart puffy sticker

I set a goal to try and get any progressive challenges completed by the middle of the month and not be rushing at the last minute.  This is my second one - and it has only just made it by the middle of the month.  So although nearly tripping up in the first month, I am still on target.

I have used two digital papers, an image and a sentiment from Imagine That! Digis.  Colouring is wtih copic markers and Wink of Stella.  I added three gems to the bottom corner of the card.

Hoping Your Birthday Is A Hoot

It is Day 6 at the Woodland Birthday Bash at Catch The Bug.  I set a goal of uploading each day's card before the next day's post went up - so far I have managed that.   Just one card after this one to do tomorrow.

I have used a digital paper from Bugaboo which I though echoed the lines in the inspiration picture.  I also took the shapes of the image and sentiment from the inspiration picture.  Both the image and sentiment are from Bugaboo Stamps.  Colouring is with copic markers.  I used a stitched circle die to cut the image and fussy cut the sentiment adding stitch lines with a Pigment Liner.

I have used some offcut pieces of digital papers.  I am not sure of the source of the purple one but I do know that the striped one is from Little Scraps of Heaven and the bubble one is from Spyder's Corner. The image is from QKR Stampede and the sentiment is from Eureka Stamps.  Colouring is with copic markers.  I also inked the edges of the image and sentiment with Distress Ink (Salty Ocean).

Handmade Background

For the New Zealand Card Makers January Challenge, we were asked to create our own background.  In mid-December, I bought some Brusho Powders and had a play with them.  Recently I got to thinking whether they would work over an acrylic paint Gelli Plate print so this was my chance to find out,

This is the result of my playing:

I also stencilled a stitched piece on using a stencil from Montarga Stamps and Black Soot Distress Ink.  You can see some of it in the lower right corner.

The white die is from Tattered Lace.  I was going to add a sentiment but I didn't like how it looked so added three little butterfly stickers instead.

I have used a digital paper from Décosse's Dynamite Doodles.  The image and sentiment are from Twinkle Lane Designs.  Colouring is with copic markers.  I also added some Glossy Accents to the candy canes.  I added a 3D flower embellishment to the top corner of the card.
