Monochromatic Penguins

This card didn't actually start out as being a monochromatic card.  I found some nice blue Christmas papers that I decided to use.  When I think of penguins, I either think of Yellow Eyed Penguins or Little Blue Penguins - both of which can be found in New Zealand.  Actually, I think both of them might be endangered species but can't be totally sure on that.  Anyways, when I went to colour the penguins, I just seemed to grab out my blue markers.  Fortunately, there was a monochromatic challenge that appeared yesterday:

I am entering this card into the following challenges:
Christmas Challenges {with sketches} - Sketch + stars + snowflakes
CRAFT Challenge - Christmas
Glitter n Sparkle - Anything But A Square
CHNC - Anything Christmas
Outlawz Monday Challenge - Monochromatic + sentiment
Trimgym - Anything Goes

The papers all come from a Christmas set by Trimgym.  I have matted each layer with light blue cardstock.  Die-cutting is all done with Spellbinders - rectangles of varying sizes, scallop circle.  The image is Snow Buddies Gifts from Digi Darla and has been coloured with blue copic markers with the addition of Stickles - Waterfall.  The silver snowflake ribbon is from American Crafts.  The sentiment is from Mudmaven Designs.  I have also added star shaped rhinestones.
