The current challenge at The Butterfly Challenge centres around a Lattice Card. I have never made one of these before so I had a few issues in the construction of it but I'm pleased with the finished result. The colours for this challenge are Lapis Lazuli, Lemon and Lavender. The other elements were Lace, Layers and of course the butterfly. Once again, I managed to incorporate all seven elements in my card - almost forgot the lace but fortunately checked back to the challenge before constructing my card.

The Butterfly Challenge - Letter L

I followed the tutorial for the first lattice card found here. The lace is some from my stash. I coloured the lemon flowers with lavender copic marker (I didn't have any lavender ones but felt I had enough lemon already). I added some gemstones to the centres of the flowers. I raised up the butterfly using mount tape to give the card a bit more dimension. I am hoping I have enough layers - the flowers are layered over the lace which is layered over the lattice.
A beautiful lattice background. So glad you tried the tutorial. Layers are perfect. Thankyou for coming and spinning the butterfly wheel with me this week. Hugs Mrs A.
