I am up to Day 11 of Beccy's Place Month Of Holiday Cards and this time the prompt is to CASE one of my older cards. I found this one from 2015, which I am not completely happy with. I feel the Angelina fibre is a bit heavy and the sentiment on the ribbon gets a bit lost.
And this is the 2018 version:
I used less Angelina fibre on this one and changed the placement of it to vertical rather than horizontal. I also used a bit more of a vintage colour scheme. I replace the ribbon with some washi tape that I think makes the sentiment easier to read. I changed the bear to a cream colour to more fit the vintage colour scheme. I also used Glimmer Paste and Wink Of Stella for the sparkle which is a bit more subtle than what I used last time (which I think is Kindy Glitz). Colouring of the image in both cases is with copic markers.
Both are cute cards but I see what you mean with the angelina fibre on the first card. Hugs Mrs A.ReplyDelete
The fibre is a great effect Suze, a kind of shimmery halo around the little bear's head. I love the glitter on the bauble and the embellished ribbons you used... both cards look awesome to me! Great job on CASEing yourself.ReplyDelete
That Stanley bear is so cute! I love both cards but I see what you mean on the second. The image is more of the focal point with less distraction. Very pretty colors you've chosenReplyDelete
