Path of Positivity Challenge - Determination

This is something that I have had to deal with a lot in my life and also encouraging my son in particular that determination and hard work brings results.  At the age of 6 years old he was told he wasn't a good enough swimmer to compete in a Fun Club Night.  Initially that got him down, until I asked him if he was going to let them "win" and prove them right.  That was enough to make him determined enough to prove them wrong - a year later he qualified for a National Swim Competition!  It happened again when he was about 8 years old when he was told that he couldn't learn the trombone as he failed the musical aptitude test.  Six months later, his determination (and hard work) was enough to get him promoted into the Senior School band!  He continued to play for another 6 years until time pressures meant he had to stop playing.

So with that in mind, this image which sort of fits the same field appealed.  I know from friends who danced that what looks easy does in fact take a lot of determination and hard work!

The image that I chose to use is from Pickled Pot Pourri Designs and is called Just Dance.  The sentiment is from Colin Powell and I typed it up using one of the fonts on my computer.  The background paper is from a paper pad (I think it might be Kaisercraft).  I used my favourite colour of yellow throughout also colouring some white ribbon roses from my stash with my copic marker.  The stitching has been added with a Distress Marker.
