School Vintage

I decided to combine a few challenges sponsored by A Day For Daisies and this is what I came up with:

I am entering my card into these challenges:
Sweet Sketch Wednesday - Sketch
A Day For Daisies - Painterly Effects
CRAFT Challenge - Back To School
The Outlawz Saturday Challenge - Masculine
Chocolate Coffee and Cards - Vintage (typewriter)

I have used some scrapbook paper from my stash together with some brown cardstock from Rosie's Studio.  The vintage typewriter image comes from The Graphics Fairy.   The image is called Blank Book and it comes from A Day For Daisies.  It has been coloured using watercolour pencils to try the painterly effects technique.   I also used some twine from American Studios and some book images from Computer Scrapbook

Here is the sketch that I followed:

  1. Fabulous!!!! Love your vintage card. I still have my typewriter, had to bring it out and show the kids because they didn't believe me that we used to use it!!!!!!!! Thanks for joining us at Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2.

  2. Oh Suze I love your Vintage card, what a great image of the old typewriter I'm laughing out loud at Linda's comment as I don't know if my boys have ever seen a typewriter, oh yes at MOTAT. LOL My youngest didn't believe that we had blackboards at school, he's only had white boards. We have a blackboard at home for messages but he didn't realise they had them at schools. Boy that makes me feel old. Great card Suze and thanks so much for sharing it with us over at Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2.
